Home Learning 2021-2022

If you are unable to come to school, you can find some ideas and useful websites below that you can use to continue your learning at home.

Maths

Our current focus in maths is on place value.

Please find below some useful videos and resources for the objectives that we are covering in class.

You can also visit Mirodo to complete any homework under 'Tasks' as well as use the 'Practice' section to complete activities in the areas that we are learning about.

Remember to play regularly on TT Rockstars too!

English

Please visit Mirodo to complete any homework under 'Tasks' as well as use the 'Practice' section to complete activities in spelling, punctuation, grammar and reading.

Please read often at home. You could:

  • Write a diary entry as one of the characters in your book.
  • Write a letter to one of the characters.
  • Draw and label a character or setting from your book.
  • Retell the story in your own words.
  • Write your own conversation between two of the characters.
  • Write a book review.

Remember to use Spelling Frame regularly too!

Topic

Our current Topic is the Vikings.

Research the Vikings using BBC Bitesize. Read the information, watch the videos and complete the activities to help you to create a poster, a leaflet or a fact file about what you have learnt.

  • Who were the Vikings?
  • How did the Vikings fight?
  • Viking traders and explorers
  • What was life like in Viking Britain?

You could also complete some Nando's Homework!
