Class teachers: Miss Scuffil (Monday - Wednesday) and Mrs Bridgford (Thursday - Friday)
Children should arrive at school between 8.30am and 8.40am. Lessons start at 8:40am.
Home time: 3:10pm for all children.
📚 Reading
Children are expected to read at home at least three times each week and should record this in their reading record. Regular reading will help children achieve their reading certificates and is one of the most important ways to develop vocabulary, fluency, comprehension and wider knowledge. Reading certificates will be awarded for: 50 reads Bronze, 100 reads Silver, 150 reads Gold and 250 reads Platinum.
➕ Maths
Our focus will be on developing quick and confident recall of multiplication facts in preparation for the Year 4 Multiplication Check. Children should regularly practise using:

✏️ Spelling
Children should practise their age-appropriate statutory spellings, which can be found in the middle of their reading records or children can use SpellingFrame https://spellingframe.co.uk/ to learn the weekly spellings or practise in other ways, such as Look, Cover, Write, Check, identifying tricky parts of words or completing a quick spelling test.

Purple Mash activities https://www.purplemash.com/#tab/home
Weather permitting, we will have an outdoor session. Children need to bring PE kits in as they will be changing in school. For health and safety reasons, earrings must be removed and hair tied back.
If you are intending to send in a healthy snack for your child to have during morning break, please limit them to the list below.
We are aiming for a common-sense approach, with the key being to keep it healthy and no chocolates, sweets or crisps during breaktimes.
Should you need to contact us, please feel free to message on Class Dojo and we will aim to respond within 48 hours or send correspondence to the office at admin@maltese.essex.sch.uk
Thank you,
