Get ready for an explosive new adventure, Year 3!

This term, we're diving deep into the amazing world of natural disasters! You’ll become geography detectives as you explore how volcanoes are created, name the layers of the Earth, and discover the difference between active, dormant, and extinct volcanoes. You’ll uncover the secrets of earthquakes, find out why they happen, and even start to understand the mighty movements of the Earth’s tectonic plates. We’ll be using atlases, maps, globes, and digital tools to track down some of the world’s most famous volcanoes and earthquake zones.

You’ll also learn all about the human and physical features in geography—like how mountains, rivers, and valleys are shaped by nature, and how people build cities and homes that change over time. We’ll discover how natural disasters like volcanoes and earthquakes can impact both people’s lives and the environment around them. So grab your explorer’s hat—adventure awaits!
